Largo Housing Services
PUBLIC NOTICE: The City of Largo is transitioning funding sources and program criteria for its COVID-19 Resident Assistance Program. Both the current program and new program assist with housing and utility costs for households that have suffered a financial loss due to the pandemic.
The application period for the current Largo Resident Assistance Program was set to expire at 5 PM on Friday, September 18, 2020. Due to an unforeseen outage on the application system, the application will remain open through midnight on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Case review, income certification and grant awards will be processed the following week with final approvals for cases made by September 30, 2020. For residents that do not have Internet access or need additional help can call Largo Housing Services at 727-586-7435.
The City’s new Resident Assistance Program application will open on October 7, 2020 at 8 AM and will remain open until December 15, 2020 unless funding is fully expended before that date. In addition to housing and utility cost assistance, the new program will also provide funds for housing counseling, emergency home repairs and insurance deductibles for emergency repairs. The new program will have streamlined paperwork requirements. Starting October 7, 2020, the contact information for this program will be through Tampa Bay Community Development Corporation: Lcares@tampabaycdc.org. The application link will be added to this site in October.
