Required Face Covering

As we continue to navigate through COVID-19, City Leadership expects we may continue to see additional confirmed and suspected cases within our team. To preserve the health and wellness of all team members while continuing to provide superior service to our community:

  • All team members are now required to wear face coverings while outside of their individual workspace, until further notice.
  • Outdoor work may be an exception, while you are able to properly socially distance.
  • Department, divisions, and work teams with known exposure or risk of exposer will be required to wear face coverings at all times for 14 days post-exposure.

WHY?
Your cloth face-covering protects your team members. Their cloth face-covering protects you.

HOW TO WEAR A FACE MASK SAFELY

CDC guidelines say that the use of cloth face coverings helps to slow the spread.  COVID-19 spreads mainly from person to person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Studies and evidence on infection control report that these droplets usually travel around 6 feet (about two arms lengths).

COVID-19 can be spread by people who do not have symptoms and do not know that they are infected.  That’s why it’s important for everyone to practice social distancing (staying at least six feet away from other people) and wear cloth face coverings in public settings. Cloth face coverings provide an extra layer to help prevent the respiratory droplets from traveling in the air and onto other people.

HOW ELSE CAN WE PROTECT EACH OTHER?

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Everyone must practice social distancing
  • Wash your hand frequently

Please do your part to preserve the health and wellness of Team Largo and the community we serve.
