Starkey Road Recycling Center (1551 Starkey Road, Largo, 33771)
· Free Mulch 
Bring your truck and a shovel for our free self-serve mulch partnership with Pinellas County Solid Waste. The mulch has been composted in accordance with University of Florida's standard for yard waste composting and makes a perfect addition to your yard or garden.
· Cooking Oil Recycling
Bring your used cooking oil to be recycled into fuel and save yourself the mess of a nasty backup in your drains.

Remember, NO plastic bags or Styrofoam and only place the following clean, dry and unbagged items in your cart: 

What can we recycle?

  • Mixed Paper & Cardboard
  • Plastic Bottles & Jugs (no other plastic materials, including straws)
  • Metal Food & Drink Cans
  • Glass Bottles & Jars
  • Paper Milk or Juice Cartons (no straws)

What can't we recycle?

  • Anything not listed above
  • Plastic Bags (Trash bags, Ziplock bags, Grocery bags, etc)
  • Plastic Wrap 
  • No Styrofoam packaging or take-out containers
  • Construction materials
  • Hazardous materials/electronics (Batteries, computers, light bulbs, etc).
  • "Molded" Plastic, or plastic items without a recycling symbol
