The City of Largo is pleased to announce that Largo’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2022, received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
An impartial panel judged the report to meet the program’s high standards, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
“The City of Largo is a trusted steward of taxpayer dollars,” said Rebecca Spuhler, the City of Largo’s Finance Director. “Creating a useful, comparable document such as the ACFR allows the City to be transparent in showcasing our financial position annually and relay information that is pertinent to decision making. The Finance Team is proud to operate at a level that meets the standards of the GFOA Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 33rd consecutive year.”
