Landlords and Renters: Updates to County's Rental Assistance Program

As of Sept. 7, 2021, Pinellas County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program has expanded eligibility. Pinellas County residents who experienced a significant reduction in income or increase in costs during the pandemic may now qualify for assistance, even if their financial hardship was not a result of the pandemic. Renters and Landlords can find more information at Renters may qualify if they: 

  • experienced reduced income or increased costs during the COVID-19 pandemic (since March 13, 2020) 
  • are behind on rent payments or at risk of missing a rent payment   
  • have a household income at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI). More information about household income limits is available at 

The application process can be started by either the tenant or the landlord.
