Celebrating Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month

This month and throughout the year, let's celebrate the vibrant and diverse cultures of over 22 million Americans who identify as Asian American and Pacific Islanders.

Upcoming events across Tampa Bay to enjoy:

Every Friday and Saturday night (May 10-25) from 5-10pm: Friday Night Street Food Market at 5858 Roosevelt Blvd., features a wide variety of food and beverage booths in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Every Saturday and Sunday morning from 7am-2pm: Pinellas Farmers and Flea Market at 136 Icot Blvd., offers locally grown vegetables and tropical fruits, arts and crafts, antique collections and many food booths featuring a rich diversity of Asian cuisine.

May 11 from 12-9pm: Tampa Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa. Enjoy cultural performances, vendor booths, food, drink and more at this FREE event.

May 18 from 2-4pm: Pokémon club meet-up for ages 5-12 at Largo Public Library. The Pokémon franchise was created by Japanese video game designer, Satoshi Tajiri.

May 28 at 6pm: Adults can explore an arts and crafts workshop at the Largo Public Library. Through the Looking Glass Nōtan. Nōtan is a Japanese word used to describe the design concept of finding the harmonious balance between dark and light and inspires the paper craft activity in this workshop.

May 31 from 5-9pm: Friday Night Street Food Market at 800 31st Street S. St. Petersburg. Enjoy food vendors with a diversity of Asian fare and live music in a family-friendly atmosphere for all ages.
