Volunteer Opportunities

Citizens' Academy

Largo Citizens' Academy is your hands-on solution to learning about your government.

Talk to Commissioners. Ride in a Police car. Operate a side-loader. Create your own City budget. Learn about downtown development. Dress like a firefighter. Watch the reclaimed water treatment process in action.

2017 Class is Full

Advisory & Affiliate Boards

Advisory Board members are appointed by the City Commission. If you have been asked to apply, nominated, or wish to apply for consideration please fill out the application.

Affiliate Boards and Committees are boards not under the direct jurisdiction of Largo City Commission. These groups may provide guidance, financial support or volunteer support to various organizations within the City of Largo, but each is a self-supporting organization.

Speak at Commission Meetings

Commission meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6pm in the Commission Chambers at Largo City Hall. If you're interested in speaking during citizen comment, please read the Citizens' Guide to Participation in Largo City Commission Meetings.
