City of Largo Strengthens Infrastructure in Feather Sound Area

The City of Largo is set to elevate Lift Stations 41 and 47 in the Feather Sound area above flood levels, investing $4.4 million to ensure uninterrupted wastewater services. These critical upgrades, partially funded by FEMA and Resilient Florida, aim to prevent sewage backflows during severe flooding.

The City invites our community and partners to join Mayor Woody Brown, the Largo City Commission, and City leadership for a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, January 25, at 1pm at 13880 Feather Sound Drive. Parking will be available at Feather Sound Church.

The ongoing projects in Largo are integral to fortifying and adjusting crucial infrastructure to reduce the effects of severe weather. These initiatives are slated to continue until early spring. During this time, service disruptions might occur due to construction noise, equipment, and possible street closures. For further details on city projects, please visit Largo.com/Projects.
