Recruitment has launched for Largo’s next City Manager. Strategic Government Resources (SGR) will lead the national search for qualified candidates on behalf of the City. The position will be advertised on social media and in numerous professional organizations including, the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the League of Women in Government, the Local Government Hispanic Network, and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators. The Commission is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and decisive servant leader with a commitment to professionalism. Experience in the following is desired including High-Performance Organizations (HPO), economic development/redevelopment, affordable workforce housing, intergovernmental relations, team member recruitment and retention, hybrid remote/office work culture, and succession planning. The first review of applications will be on June 12, 2023. The recruiter will screen applicants and recommend the top candidates for executive, team member, and City Commission review. The City Manager will need to be approved by a minimum of 5 out of 7 Commissioners.
