Community Input Needed for New City Hall

The City of Largo has begun efforts toward the development of a new City Hall. The current facility is no longer suitable due to upcoming costly repairs, lack of resistance to storm damage and flooding, and limitations for projected growth. This new City Hall project is currently underway with concept design and site selection and is expected to be completed in 2023. The construction of a new City Hall is aligned with the City's investment in the re-development of the West Bay Drive downtown corridor. This new central facility is intended to promote downtown development as a mixed-use (e.g., City facility, private businesses, and public use space) and will align with the City's strategic initiatives of public health and safety, sustainability, and community pride.

Over the next few months, community members including residents, businesses, and community groups will be invited to share their priorities for specific design features and public use elements of this new and improved City Hall. Opportunities for feedback will include a community survey, social media polls, and interactive webinar presentations with the project team. This information will complement previous community feedback on a vision for downtown and build on the public's desire for an active and interconnected downtown that is welcoming, family-friendly, and safe while preserving and incorporating natural elements and green space.
