Are your Children Safe from Fire-Play?

Children "playing" with fire is dangerous and costly. Follow these tips to keep your family safe:

  • Keep matches and lighters out of reach of children in a locked compartment
  • Closely supervise children, making sure they are kept away from other fire sources, including lit candles, cigarettes, fire pits, and stoves.
  • Teach children to never touch matches or lighters. Practice a home fire escape plan with them.
  • Talk with children about what their friends are doing with fire, or what they are watching online. Monitor their online usage closely.
