The City of Largo is thrilled to announce that Public Works Solid Waste Team Member Shauwn Clark brought home the ‘gold medal’ from the 2019 SWANA International Road-E-O competition! This year’s competition was hosted by the Arizona SWANA Chapter in Glendale, Arizona on October 24-25, 2019, in conjunction with Wastecon. The State of Florida and the City of Largo had two employees participate in this year’s event. Shauwn won 1st place in the Frontloader category, beating out 12 other drivers from all across the country!
In addition, first-time competitor Andrie Bonney also did an outstanding job representing Largo and competing against the 12 drivers in the Rearloader category. The City of Largo knows that providing superior services that inspire community pride can’t happen with out the hard work and dedication of team members like Shauwn and Andrie and is very excited to celebrate this achievement.
