This award is presented for extraordinary effort by a governmental official to promote or effect changes in policy or practice to protect or preserve Florida's environment. By consistently engaging the community through sustainability initiatives such as the Mayor’s Water Challenge, Largo’s Environmental Action Plan (LEAP), Ready for 100, monthly sustainability workshops and creating an ocean-friendly Largo, Laura’s dedication, passion and perseverance is truly inspiring.
