Electric Ribbon Cutting

Join the City of Largo for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the first public electric vehicle charging stations. The ceremony will take place at the Largo Public Library on Tue, Dec 4 at 3pm. Largo partnered with Duke Energy to provide these charging stations located at Ulmer Park, the Largo Public Library and City Hall. All stations are currently being offered as a free service to the public. Future site locations include the Central Park Performing Arts Center, Belcher Soccer Complex and the Southwest Recreation Center.

This partnership with Duke Energy highlights the City’s strategic focus on sustainability and it’s commitment to transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy by 2035. These goals are part of Largo’s Environmental Action Plan (LEAP) which serves as the blueprint for the organization to its environmental impact. Visit Largo.com/LEAP to learn more about the plan.
