Largo's Freecycle Event Announced

The City of Largo will be hosting the third annual Freecycle Event at the Largo Public Library on Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3.

Largo's Freecycle Event encourages residents to donate gently used household items to help create a marketplace. The community is then invited to receive a free bag at the door and 'shop' as they fill their bag with items from the marketplace. Accepted donations include books, CDs, DVDs, gently used clothing and children's toys, housewares, holiday gifts and decor, school supplies and office supplies.

Residents who would like to donate any gently used items can do so by visiting the Largo Public Library on November 2 from 10am-6pm. The community can 'shop' for free starting at 9am on Saturday until all items are gone. The Library is located at 120 Central Park Drive.

In 2017, over 200 residents donated items and over 600 attended the event in the first hour of shopping. Due to its success, effectiveness and positive impact on our community, Largo's Freecycle Event won the 2018 Florida League of Cities Environmental Stewardship Award.
