| WINNER!!! Junior Entry 2: Toby
Advanced Rain Barrel/Watering Can. Toby made this out of a laundry detergent container and a water jug held together with a yogurt container with duct tape. We placed it under a gutter during a rain storm...it filled up very quickly...it works really well.

 | Macgvyer Entry 10: Matt Hanging Container Garden This garden is made of 100% recovered materials. The kitty litter containers are used to make an upside down garden for tomatoes and eggplant. Using this method the branches can extend down and grow to maximum potential. Kitty litter containers on the side house beans that want to grow up the side of the structure like a vine. The lower planters are made from wooden shipping crates and host growing herbs and spices. This method would be ideal for gardening an apartment setting where space is limited.

This garden is made of 100% recovered materials. The kitty litter
containers are used to make an upside down garden for tomatoes and
eggplant. The trellis across the top is a used volleyball net where Yams can grow and spread. This long structure provides shade to the earth-based garden currently growing underneath this structure and providing shade in the warmer months.
