What is the Citizens' Academy? If you have always wanted to get involved in City government, but were
not sure where to start, the City of Largo's Citizens' Academy may be
for you! Led by City Department Directors, the Academy guides citizens
and business owners first hand through the myriad of operations that
keep Largo running.
Academy participants will tour key facilities, learn the challenges
facing future development, talk with leaders about current issues and
events affecting Largo, and work side by side with City staff members to
learn about the essential functions they serve. This fall's edition
will have a special business focus allowing local business owners and
operators to talk with City Commissioners, learn about downtown
development and ways to make your business safe.
Application deadline is Saturday, August 20. Call (727)587-6710 for more information or complete your application online.
