Also known as "the turtle park"
for its abundant aquatic turtle population, McGough Nature Park is
located at 11901 146th Street North. Escape the hustle and bustle
of the city and stroll through the shady oak hammock or through
the mangroves along the intercoastal waterway. Make sure you visit
the nature center which houses live animal exhibits and hands-on
activities for children. The park offers several environmental
education programs. |

Visit our injured birds of prey
Feed the turtles on the deck overlooking our turtle pond
Rent a shelter for a picnic or party
Hike our nature trails, including a 1200 ft boardwalk leading out to the intercoastal
