Also known as "the turtle park" for its abundant aquatic turtle population, McGough Nature Park is located at 11901 146th Street North. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and stroll through the shady oak hammock or through the mangroves along the intercoastal waterway. Make sure you visit the nature center which houses live animal exhibits and hands-on activities for children. The park offers several environmental education programs.
