Defense and Technology Showcase Coming to Pinellas County
Pinellas County has a rich history of defense contractors and sub-contractors, therefore, it's only natural that the County was chosen as the location for the 2012 Florida Defense and Technology Showcase. This year's event is being held from September 17 -19th at Sheraton Sand Key in Clearwater, Florida. This showcase is unique in that it is a reverse trade show that allows subcontractors to exhibit and meet defense industry contractors looking for new suppliers.
The reverse trade show is a great way for subcontractors to increase sales, develop partner and vendor relationships. On Tuesday, the event will host a luncheon and during the afternoon of September 18th, prime contractors will be involved in a targeted "matchmaking event, where prime contractors will be seeking supplier matches based on their needs. A networking reception will follow. For more information visit the Florida Defense and Technology Showcase or contact Jen Suereth at suerethj@tbinnovates.com or 727-547-7340.
The
Florida Defense and Technology Showcase is hosted by the Tampa
Bay Innovation Center and the Florida
Federal Contractors Association. The Tampa Bay Innovation Center
is managed by STAR-TEC Enterprises, Inc., a not-for-profit Florida
corporation whose goal is to foster jobs and promote economic
development through assistance and support programs. The Florida
Federal Contractors Association is a non-profit business league and
economic development association that is committed to fostering
collaboration among regional businesses engaged in or capable of
engaging in federal contracting work; marketing the region's federal
