This contest is open to teen (ages 13-18) amateurs only. A professional is defined as one whose primary source of income (50% or more) results from his/her artistic work. Only Pinellas County residents are eligible to enter the contest.
Categories: Digital Art Drawing (black and white) Drawing (color) Painting Photography
Prizes will be awarded in each category as follows: First prize: $15 Michael's Gift Card, Ribbon and Certificate Second prize: Ribbon and Certificate Third prize: Ribbon and Certificate
Submissions: Digital Art: All entries must be 5x7 OR 8x10. Submissions must be unmatted and unframed. Drawing:Drawings must be on 8.5x11 unlined paper. Drawings on tracing paper will not be accepted. Submissions must be unmatted and unframed. Painting: Entries can be any medium. No entries larger than 18x36. Submissions must be unmatted and unframed. Photography:All photos must be 5x7 OR 8x10. Submissions must be unmatted and unframed.
Submissions will be accepted in the Largo Public Library Teen Room from Monday, February 11 through Monday, March 11. Limit is one (1) submission per person per category. The official registration and submission forms are located in the Largo Public Library Teen Room. The form must accompany submitted artwork. If a submission is deemed inappropriate, it will not be entered into the contest. All accepted contest entries will be displayed in the Largo Public Library Gallery 120 during the month of April 2013.
Judging: Works selected for the contest will be judged from March 12 through March 19, 2013. The judges' decisions are final. Contest winners will be announced at the Largo Public Library during a reception on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 5:00pm in Gallery 120.
