The Traffic Homicide Unit is staffed by one sergeant and six officers who are all trained traffic homicide investigators. The unit is responsible for investigating traffic fatalities, and hit and run crashes with serious bodily injury, and other types of major traffic incidents.

The Traffic Homicide Unit works closely with a dedicated Assistant State Attorney Unit to prosecute all criminal traffic fatality cases. The THI unit is under the direction on Sgt. G. Edmiston.
