The Pinellas Transit Alternatives Analysis Study Is Seeking Your Feedack


The Pinellas Transit Alternatives Analysis (AA) study is seeking your comments on the recommendation for the Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) through January 30th, 2012. In December 2011, the Project Advisory Committee identified the draft recommendation for the study, and now wants to consider your feedback prior to making a final decision.


If you have not been following along in the local news, the AA consists of a study to select a LPA transit corridor for the Pinellas County study area. The study has been investigate how to connect public transit between downtown St. Petersburg, Pinellas Gateway area, downtown Clearwater, and Hillsborough County. The AA study has defined potential alternatives for this project, such as at-grade transit options, aerial alignments, station locations, technologies, costs, benefits, and the feasibility of such options. The organizations that have come together for this study consist of:



The Project Advisory Committee (PAC) consists of elected officials that serve on the boards of the above-mentioned agencies and the group provides recommendations to the project team and consultants. Largo representation has been from Vice Mayor Harriet Crozier, who is the Vice Chairman of the PAC.


Whether you are a resident or business owner, the PAC wants to hear your opinions. You can provide your comments be considered at the January 30th PAC meeting at Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority located at 3201 Scherer Drive, St. Petersburg, 33716 at 3 p.m.
