| It's time once again for
Soggy Doggy, Largo's annual day for our favorite furry, four-footed
family members. On September 8, the pool at the Highland Family Aquatic
Center, 400 Highland Ave. is open for dogs only owners
are not permitted to swim. Dogs shorter then 18 have the pool
from 11am-1pm, and dogs taller than 18 take over from 1:30-3:30pm.
The cost is $5 per dog, and owners enter free! The theme for this
year's event is "Circus, so dress your dog for activities and
contests. Presenters for the program are Pet Supermarket, and Ideal
Design Events. Additional sponsors include Avian & Animal
Hospital, The New Barker and David Wright Photography. The pool will
also be open to ALL dogs on Sunday, September 9, from 12-3pm. Bring
your Saturday receipt for a $3 entry discount. Due to construction of
the new Highland Recreation Center, entry to the facility is from
Lake Ave., located on the east side of the complex. For more
