Counselor In Training Summer Program

(Ages 12-17)
This program is designed to provide teenagers with a
real camp counselor experience at City of Largo Summer
Camps. Teens will develop essential leadership skills, cre-
ate summer camp lesson plans, learn how to work with
children and most importantly have fun. Participants
can earn volunteer hours that meet the qualifications
for Bright Futures through Pinellas County Schools and
other extracurricular school groups. This year, teens
will also learn life skills that will aid in the next steps of
their education and career path. Job selection, interview
skills, budgeting, social skills and creating a resume
are possible topics that will be covered. Teens that
have completed grades 8-12 will be given priority over
younger applicants. If you are interested in the program,

Friday Night Fever
(Ages 3-5th Grade)
Relax and enjoy your evening while the kiddos have a
blast at Highland. Kids will have fun playing in the gym,
PlayWorld, Game Room and ExerPlay. The snack shop
will be open for pizza, drink and snack purchases.

are separate from school age children.

Kids Fun Battle Night
(Ages 7-16)
Bring your soft dart gun for a fun day of battle games.
Kids will burn off some energy while playing fun games
and challenges. Eye protection required. Please preregis-
ter before event. Spots are limited.

Largo Teen Volunteer Program (LTV)
Are you between middle or high school and search-
ing for ways to get involved in your community? Join
the Largo Teen Volunteers for community service and
volunteer opportunities during the school year. Meet
new friends and develop leadership skills that will help
participants in the next stage of life. Application required.

Spring Break Camp = No School Just Fun
(Grades K-5)
Spring Break Camp will be held Monday – Friday of this
week. Children must have lunch, snack and closed toed
shoes with socks daily. Childcare paperwork must be
filled out for this program when registering. Participants
will go on a field trip. Preregistration is required.

Teen Fitness Center Access
(Ages 12-15)
By completing this training, teens will be granted access
to the fitness center without a parent/guardian present.
Teens will learn proper form, technique, the importance
of body awareness and safety. Regular fitness center
fees apply upon completion.

Teen Takeover Night
(Ages 11-17)
It's time for teens to take over the Highland Recreation
Complex for the night. Register with a group of friends
and spend the chaperoned night hanging in ExerPlay,
game room or playing sports in the gym. Enjoy popular
music and dancing and much more. The snack shop will
be open for teens to purchase dinner and snacks. This is
the place to be on a Saturday night. Must check in by 8p.
