Mr. Ray's After School Musical Theatre
Musical theatre director, Ray Olan will lead students, ages 4-17, through engaging, interactive sessions throughout the Largo Central Park campus.
Ray Olan has been producing, directing, instructing and performing educational and entertaining shows for many years. Mr. Ray, as he is known, has produced children's and teen programs in Pinellas County for over 10 years. His background as an educator, pianist, producer, and musical theatre director for television and film make him the perfect choice for your child's musical theatre experience.
Age appropriate classes are being offered to allow children to explore historical musical styles, music theory, and the elements of music (melody, rhythm, form and tone color) through a variety of vocal, instrumental, rhythmic and creative listening activities. Mr. Ray and his team of competent instructors will create an environment for musical theatre training based on trust, mutual respect and passion for the arts.

Mini Masters Musical Theatre: The little ones learn song and performance techniques with the same exuberance and fearlessness as their older counterparts!
Ages 4 & 5
Masters Musical Theatre: Check it out: real actors, real dancers and real singers - it's Musical Theatre! The students culminate their study in a final performance showcase.
Ages 6-12
Teen Musical Theatre: This really cool class for really cool budding thespians will get your toes tapping, fingers clicking and sharpen your theatrical skills. A performance showcase will complete the class.
Ages 13-17
Objectives of the program:
- To help students develop an understanding and appreciation for another art form.
- To explore the evolution of this form from its beginnings to the present.
- To become acquainted with some of the literary sources of musicals.
- To analyze musical selections from a sampling of productions.
- To further develop vocal and listening skills.
- To reinforce the knowledge of the elements of music.
- To make connections with other arts and academic areas.
- To help students understand how story, dance, and music become the integral parts of musical theatre.
