Background checks may be obtained by contacting the Police Department in-person and presenting proper identification. A local background check includes only files found within the Largo Police Department. Cost for a written report is $5, payable to City of Largo.  County background checks are available through Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. A State of Florida background check is available through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. You may also wish to contact other local agencies to get their local background checks. Each agency must be contacted individually.

To obtain a copy of a Largo police report, contact the Police Department in-person or by mail. Largo Police Department can have the report ready for pick-up if you call ahead at 727-587-6717. Requests made by mail must include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with which to return the report. There is no cost for reports that are less than four (4) pages long.

Accident reports are available for the first 60 days of the incident occurring, only to the parties having direct involvement or their authorized representatives. Proper identification must be presented at the time of picking up the report. You may call 727-587-6717 to have the report ready upon your arrival. There is no cost for reports that are less than four (4) pages.

Fingerprinting services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please bring proper identification and, if the service is requested by an employer, your fingerprint card. Cost is $10.

Final court dispositions are available through the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

In order to obtain property items held by the Police Department, an appointment must be scheduled with the Property and Evidence Section by calling 727-587-6768. Proper identification must be presented at the time of obtaining the items.

Yes. You must wait 90 days from the date it was turned in. If the owner is not located, you will be notified and an appointment will be scheduled for you to pick up the item.

No. Unclaimed items of value are donated to local charity organizations. All weapons are destroyed.

You can fill out a bicycle registration form at the Largo Police Department, or you can download and print the form. Please remember to include all pertinent information about the bicycle, including make, model, color and accessories which may help us to identify it in case of loss or theft.
