The Operations Division, the largest division of Largo Fire Rescue, includes all emergency and non-emergency response to calls for service. Operations personnel respond to medical incidents, vehicle crashes, structure fires, brush fires, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescue incidents, odor investigations, and other hazardous situations. The department currently provides a four minute thirty second average response time to emergency calls for assistance from six fire stations. Largo Fire Rescue provides service to the citizens and guests of Largo, unincorporated areas of Pinellas County including High Point, and our contracted areas of Belleair and Belleair Bluffs.

The agency is also an active participant in the Pinellas County Fire Authority's automatic aid program; through a consolidated dispatch center for the county and a "border-less" dispatch policy, a 911 caller will receive the closest appropriate fire department response regardless of municipal affiliation.
