Largo Fire Rescue's EMS (Emergency Medical Services) area includes the municipalities of Largo, Belleair, Belleair Bluffs and its unincorporated fire district. Largo Fire Rescue provides Advance Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) service through a total of 10ALS and 1 BLS units. Largo provides a dual ALS response from four of its stations due to the agency's high EMS call volume. Annual EMS call volume for Largo Fire Rescue exceeds 17,000 calls. The department meets the county mandate response time of less the 7.5 minutes 98 percent of the time.

  • Station 38 - 1 ALS Engine, 1 ALS Squad
  • Station 39 - 1 ALS Engine, 1 ALS Squad
  • Station 40 - 1 ALS Engine
  • Station 41 - 1 ALS Engine, 1 ALS Rescue, 1 BLS Truck
  • Station 42 - 1 ALS Truck, 1 ALS Rescue
  • Station 43 - 1 ALS Engine

The EMS division also manages the continuing medical education and training for all of its members assuring compliance with county and state requirements.

The division also coordinates the American Heart two-year certification for BLS for the Healthcare Provider and Heartsaver/AED CPR for both city employees and the general public.
