Friends of Parks
Enjoy being in nature? Become a friend of Largo Nature Parks and assist with:
  • Animal care
  • Exhibit design
  • Trail maintenance
  • Customer service/greeter
  • Butterfly garden maintenance
  • Exotic plant removal
  • CommuniTrees program assistance
Take advantage of free trainings in wildlife identification to become an EAGLE Volunteer. Upon completion of the training you will receive an EAGLE t-shirt and can potentially lead programs and tours. Join anytime. Call (727)518-3047.

The CommuniTrees Program supplies free street trees, planting assistance and training for Largo residents who sign a tree care pledge. Residents will plant their trees on a City coordinated day.

Volunteer in the Arts - Largo (VITAL)

Interested in the arts? VITAL may be your ticket to volunteering! VITAL volunteers assist the Largo Cultural Center with daily operations, performances and behind-the-scenes support. Some of the key areas of volunteering include:
Caring by Sharing
Caring by Sharing is the Recreation, Parks and Arts Department's primary volunteer organization. Caring by Sharing volunteers do everything from organizing puppet shows for local youth and performing at assisted living facilities to teaching classes and shooting photos at City events. If you have a talent you're interested in sharing, we have a place for you in the Caring by Sharing program.
