APWA Accreditation
![]() | The City of Largo Public Works Department is among over 200 Public Works Agencies in the United States and Canada that are participating in the American Public Works Association's (APWA) Accreditation Program. This process includes the completion of a Departmental-Wide Self Assessment, application for Accreditation, a Site Review, and a vote by the APWA Accreditation Council. |
The City of Largo is the American Public Works Association's 50th Accredited Public Works Agency.
In 2012, the Department went through it's first re-accreditation process in which the same processes and practices were professionally reviewed by peers in the professional community. Upon completion of that review all but two practices were found to be fully compliant, and the City was granted Re-Accreditation through 2016.
