Largo Fire Rescue provides a full range of services to the community, including hazardous materials response, technical rescue, tactical SWAT medics and an ALS service utilizing both ALS engines and rescues. It is one of a few departments in the world accredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International and is a leader in providing benefits and training to its employees. Largo Firefighters work a 24/48 schedule with an additional shift off every 28-day cycle (13 annually).To be notified when a selection process is occurring, please fill out an interest card. The process consists of a written test, physical ability test, and initial interview. Each stage must be passed successfully to qualify to proceed to the next stage. Scores are valid for one year.
