Mayor & Commission
The City of Largo is a Commission-Manager form of government, consisting of six City Commissioners and a Mayor who establish legislative policies, which are then carried out by the City Manager. Commissioners are elected for three year terms on a rotating basis. Candidates for Commission must be residents of the City of Largo. In addition to City Commission offices, Largo has numerous opportunities for citizens to contribute to their local community through advisory boards and affiliate boards, which are filled by appointment for varying terms.
City Commission meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. Work Sessions are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. All meetings take place in City Commission Chambers at Largo City Hall, 201 Highland Avenue, in Largo. For more information, or to contact the Largo City Commission, call 727-587-6702 or send an e-mail to commission@largo.com.
