Through its facilities, cultural center, park system and sports complexes, the Recreation, Parks & Arts Department offers opportunities for individualized leisure pursuits, and passive enjoyment of the natural environment. The department has been nationally accredited and named as "Agency of Excellence" by the State of Florida. Participating in recreational activities provides endless benefits including an increased life expectancy, decreased chance of obesity, increased family bonds, building self esteem and personal growth. |
